Open Science QE SIG
Focus
Open Science (OS) represents a cultural shift in scientific research by promoting transparency throughout the research process and advocating for expertise to be openly accessible and their benefits universally and equitably shared. OS also aims to increase methodological rigor and verifiability via the possibility to scrutinize and openly evaluate processes of knowledge production in a supportive, encouraging environment. The QE Open Science SIG explores ways in which QE work may become more transparent, expertise can be more easily shared, and how we, as a community, can help each other in challenges we all face in research.
Some activities the OS SIG promotes:
QE Sandbox
Organizing regular informal exploratory discussions on methodological challenges and solutions
Reporting guidelines
Outlining aspects of QE research projects which can be reported in scientific publications
Data sharing guidelines
Compiling ideas on how to best share qualitative data according to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) sharing principles; drafting suggestions for anonymization of qualitative data
QE Hub
Open educational resources for novice and experienced QE scholars
